**Watch Stevie Wonder Perform and John Legend Cover Prince with Sheila E at the DNC**

 

Stevie Wonder, John Legend, and Sheila E were among the performers at last night’s (August 21) Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago. The third night of the convention continued the trend of featuring high-profile musical acts. 

On the first day (August 19), Jason Isbell and Mickey Guyton performed, although a planned set by James Taylor was cut due to time constraints. The second night featured a surprise performance by Lil Jon, who energized the crowd with a lively rendition of his 2013 hit with DJ Snake, "Turn Down for What," during Georgia's roll call.

Last night, Stevie Wonder took to the stage to show his support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. "We must keep on keeping on until we are truly a united people of these United States, and then we will reach a higher ground," Wonder told the audience before performing his classic song, "Higher Ground."

John Legend later joined forces with Sheila E on stage to pay tribute to Prince with a powerful rendition of the late artist’s 1984 hit, "Let’s Go Crazy." The performance was a nod to Prince’s home state of Minnesota, where Vice Presidential Nominee Tim Walz serves as governor, and it set the stage for Walz's keynote address.
