By nearly all accounts, Colorado football’s opening offensive drive of the 2024 season was nearly flawless. The Buffaloes quickly got true freshman Drelon Miller involved and provided solid protection for quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The drive culminated in a 41-yard touchdown reception by Travis Hunter.
Hunter, already being touted as an early Heisman Trophy contender, caught the pass from Sanders at North Dakota State’s 37-yard line. He then easily outmaneuvered Bison cornerback Marcus Sheppard and coasted into the end zone, giving Colorado their first score of the season.
This touchdown was the sixth of Hunter’s career with Colorado.
LeBron James, Pat McAfee, and others were quick to react to Hunter’s latest highlight-worthy play.
